I feel the same! It does seem as though every woman has a story like this. The odd thing is, I’ve never told anyone about it… I’m not sure if it’s a sense of shame (“was I too nice, did he misread me?” Etc.), or just burying it. Ultimately, I had to make peace with it, but I am forever wary. Glad you are protecting yourself and teaching your daughter. And, thanks Michelle, for responding to my comment!
