John, My goodness, you are one insightful human with the gift of writing. I was on the verge of tears… well, no…. I actually cried reading this. How beautifully you described your cancer experience, and what a gift you gave other people with your insight. My husband was diagnosed 5 years ago, and when once we dreamed of traveling the world, now we find that we are routinely flying to Germany for treatments that are not yet available here in the US. (Although it’s been approved by the FDA, just not set up yet.)… Every day is the hope there will be a cure for his type of cancer… and yours…. And for all cancers, as unique and complex as they are.
